  • Cartridge heaters are used in numerous branches of industry and impress with their efficiency and performance. The following are some typical areas of application:

    Plastics processing and injection molding

In plastics processing, uniform and precise heat distribution is crucial to optimally influence material properties. Cartridge heaters ensure rapid heating of molds and guarantee stable process conditions throughout the entire production cycle.

    Mechanical engineering and automotive industry

Temperature processes play a key role in the production of components in the automotive and mechanical engineering industries. Whether for preheating components or maintaining stable production conditions - our robust cartridge heaters offer the necessary flexibility and reliability, even for high-temperature applications.

    Electronics and semiconductor manufacturing

Precise control of temperature cycles is essential in electronics production. Our cartridge heaters are used in test benches, soldering processes and for temperature control of components to guarantee uniform heat dissipation and protect sensitive electronic components.

    Chemical and pharmaceutical industry

In areas where chemical resistance and purity have top priority, our cartridge heaters impress with their resistance to aggressive substances. Thanks to their compliance with cleanroom standards, they are ideal for processing and manufacturing pharmaceutical products.

Process heaters in laboratories and research facilities

For applications in laboratories and research centers, cartridge heaters offer precise and controlled heat distribution. The ability to control the heat output in different zones allows experimental setups flexible and reproducible temperature control.

The versatility of our cartridge heaters underlines their importance as a central component of modern industrial heating solutions. Thanks to their adaptability to different operating conditions and their robust design, a wide range of applications can be realized without compromising on performance.

  • The advantages of our cartridge heaters at a glance:

Precise temperature control and high efficiency

Our cartridge heaters offer exceptional temperature stability, making it possible to ensure precise and uniform heat distribution, even in demanding industrial applications. The fast response time and wide temperature range (-40°C to +750°C) ensure that your processes can always be optimally controlled. This leads to a significant improvement in product quality and a reduction in energy losses.

    Robust construction and versatile durability

Thanks to the  choice of high-quality materials and innovative manufacturing processes, our cartridge heaters are particularly resistant to aggressive chemicals, oil, UV radiation and other environmental influences. The high-quality design ensures long-term reliability even in demanding industrial environments. With additional certification in accordance with CE, RoHS, REACH, AS9100 and ISO 13485, the cartridge heaters meet the highest international quality standards.

    Simple integration and adaptable design

The availability of various configurations - for example in different lengths (from 2.54 cm to 60.96 cm) and diameters (from 0.318 cm to 2.54 cm) - allows you to choose the optimum solution for your specific application and enables seamless integration into existing systems. This reduces installation effort and increases operational efficiency.

Optimum power density and electrical safety

With a maximum power density of 23.25W/cm3 and various voltage versions (24 V, 48 V DC = standard cartridge heaters) up to 240 V, our cartridge heaters offer flexible use in a wide range of applications. Strict compliance with resistance tolerances (-5% to +10%) and tested electrical safety guarantee trouble-free operation even under high loads.

These advantages make our cartridge heaters the ideal choice for demanding industrial applications where reliability, efficiency and precision are top priorities.

  • When selecting cartridge heaters, you should consider some general criteria to ensure that the solution is optimally matched to your application:

    Process and temperature requirements

Determine the temperature range required for your application and the desired temperature stability. Our cartridge heaters operate at temperatures down to -40°C and generate heat up to +750°C, ensuring good temperature stability with a tolerance of ±5°C. Compare whether these parameters match the thermal requirements of your processes.

If such high temperatures are not required in your application, but the temperature stability should be as precise as possible, then our Kapton® or all-polyimide heaters are available.

    Power density and electrical requirements

Specify the operating voltage and the required heat demand per unit area. With a maximum power density of 23.25 W/cm³ and a maximum operating voltage of up to 240 V, our cartridge heaters offer versatile options. Check whether these values match your system's performance requirements.
If the operating voltage in your application is higher, we recommend that you take a look at our silicone heaters, which can operate with a maximum voltage of 750 V, or our polyester heaters, which can even operate with a voltage of up to 1000 V.

    Dimensions and geometric adjustments

Determine the required dimensions and the shape of the heating surface to be optimally integrated into your system. Thanks to the very flexible dimensioning with a minimum length of 25.4 mm to a maximum length of 609.6 mm or a minimum diameter of 3.18 mm to a maximum diameter of 25.4 mm, our cartridge heaters can be precisely adapted to a wide range of installation space requirements.

Should you surface heating elements or larger dimensions for your applications, explore our Kapton®, Silicone, All-Polyimide, Butyl, or Polyester heaters.

    Ambient conditions

Specify whether special conditions such as water resistance or high resistance to oil, chemicals and radiation are required. Our cartridge heaters are both cleanroom and vacuum-compatible and offer robust performance even under demanding environmental conditions such as moisture, chemicals, oil or strong UV radiation.

If you want your heating element to be submersible, take a closer look at our butyl heaters.

    Additional functional requirements

If your application requires multi-zone or multi-layer heating circuits, take these aspects into account in your planning. Our cartridge heaters support graduated heating power densities so that even complex thermal profiles can be realized. Sensors, controllers, connectors and other components can also be integrated according to your requirements. You can find details on this in our Heater assemblies.

These general selection criteria will help you to identify the right type of heating solution for your specific requirements. A detailed consultation can help you make the best decision and develop a customized solution.
