The MF short-circuit indicator is an electronic short-circuit indicator for radial networks and open ring networks in medium-voltage applications. Short-circuit events are indicated phase-selectively via LEDs. The separable sensors allow for easy retrofitting in existing systems. Operation is via a lithium battery or, optionally, via an external power supply. Depending on the version, a potential-free fiber optic connection or a wired sensor connection is available, allowing the MF type to be flexibly adapted to different installation conditions.
