CURRENT SITUATION
For families with children suffering from a life-limiting illness, everyday life is often characterized by stress, uncertainty and emotional challenges. Caring for the child can be physically and organizationally very demanding, especially if special care is required. Medical costs, time off work and additional expenses for therapies, travel or care aids often represent a major financial burden.
PROJECT PRESENTATION
Sterntalerhof offers these families a place of security and support. It is the only inpatient children's hospice to pursue a holistic approach in order to meet the needs of the whole family.
In addition to inpatient care, it offers mobile care and outpatient support, supplemented by therapeutic services, pastoral care and educational support.
An interdisciplinary team of specialists and volunteers lovingly cares for the sick children as well as their parents and siblings.
HOW THE DONATION HELPS
The donation makes it possible to keep the children's hospice running and to give the affected families confidence and a zest for life, including:
- the care and support of seriously ill children and their families,
- therapeutic services and necessary aids that provide physical and emotional support,
- accommodation for the whole family in a safe and secure environment.
